Richard E. Fleming, MD - Ophthalmology
Richard Fleming, originally from Dallas, went to Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry
and a minor in psychology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Dallas, did his internship at UCLA affiliated hospitals, and
completed his ophthalmology residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School’s Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.
Dr. Fleming has been in practice since 1975. He places careful emphasis on cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation and has always
stayed current with the latest developments in this field.
Dr. Fleming is an active member in both the Austin and San Antonio Societies of Ophthalmology and serves as a delegate from the Guadalupe
County Medical Society to the Texas Medical Association.
Dr. Fleming is licensed in the state of Texas, board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy
of Ophthalmology.
